The breeding journey began with a selected Road Dawg female, itself derived from StarDawg × Biker Kush and bred by Karma Genetics.

This female was pollinated with a Face Off OG BX2 male. From the resulting progeny, a standout male was selected and used to pollinate the original Zkittlez.

After further selection, this breeding project eventually produced the Z-Road selection.

Z-Road represents a fusion of two distinctive characteristics: the sweet candy character of Z combined with a powerful, fuel-heavy influence.

Ultraviolet Sherb – The Reversed Pollen Donor

For the pollen donor, Grounded Genetics selected Ultraviolet Sherb.

The story of Ultraviolet Sherb began in 2020, when Grounded Genetics created Designer Sherb by reversing the Runtz cut onto the Original Sunset Sherbet.

From a population of 80 seeds, the breeders selected an exceptionally dark, almost black phenotype with some of the wildest fizzy Sherbert terpenes they had encountered.

Although the flavor was considered exceptional, the breeders wanted to improve the plant’s:

The selected phenotype was therefore dusted with reversed RS11 pollen.

After another round of hunting, a keeper was found that retained the qualities they loved about the original Designer Sherb while adding improved structure, yield and commercial viability.

The final step was to reverse the selected Ultraviolet Sherb and use its pollen to pollinate Jaime’s legendary Z-Road cut.
